This is a 3 day tour to Belgium, staying at the Hotel Mercure Antwerp South.

Just as the summer begins to fade, the charming Dutch village of Zundert hosts a phenomenal festival of dahlia flowers. On the first Sunday of September every year, the annual Zundert Flower Parade has the town decked in dahlias which attracts tens of thousands of visitors. Furthermore, it has become one of the Netherlands’ most beautiful parades. The impressive structures built from flowers have been turning heads since 1936. This event is a must-see for fans of flowers, art or the downright bizarre!

Day 1

We make our way to Dover where we cross over with P&O Ferries to Calais and continue our journey to Belgium for our 2 night stay at the Hotel Mercure Antwerp South.

This holiday is on a Bed & Breakfast package. There is a restaurant at the Hotel available for evening meals to be purchased.

Day 2

Zundert Flower Parade Day - Dutch Dahlias on Display

Travel to the Dutch village of Zundert for their famous Dahlia Parade. Spend the morning exploring the town and let the many performers dotted around the streets entertain you. Browse the local markets before taking your seats for the parade.

The afternoon is spent watching the Flower Parade which volunteers have been preparing for a whole year to create. The parade passes down the main streets of the town before stopping for a break for visitors to inspect and admire the floats before resuming its route around the town and the award ceremony for the best float. Zundert also provides music and theatre performances throughout the town during the day.

Day 3

We depart the Hotel after breakfast, making our way to Calais where we cross over to Dover with P&O Ferries and continue our journey home.

L.J. Edwards can take a maximum of 2 electric scooters/wheelchairs per short break, these must be for clients with a Blue Badge and Public Liability Scooter Insurance (subject to hotel agreement). L.J. Edwards accept no liability for any accident, loss of damage to the guest or their mobility scooter on a Short Break, or when the scooter/wheelchair is stored in the coach luggage compartment. The individual is responsible for ensuring they are capable of safely operating their mobility scooter and for the security of their mobility scooter during their holiday.
