Lavender Tour

Castle Farm - Home of Kentish Lavender

Go behind the scenes of Castle Farm and learn all about Lavender!

Join a Castle Farm Guide on a Private Group Tour as they take you into two Lavender fields to learn about the history of the farm, the different types of lavender, how it is grown harvested and distilled at Castle Farm.

You will then take a stroll over to the steam distillery where you can see how the essential oil is extracted from the plants, and learn about the harvesting process. While enjoying a light refreshment (Lavender Shortbread and apple juice), you will learn all about how Lavender can be used at home.

Visitors will have the opportunity to take photos in the field (an absolute requirement).

Light refreshments including some of their lavender teas can be purchased from an attractive converted horse box.
