Located at Mickleover on the outskirts of Derby, the Derby Mickleover offers a warm welcome to groups. Day 1
We depart for Derbyshire, making a comfort and lunch stop en-route. Arriving at the Derby Mickleover Best Western Signature Collection this afternoon.
EMDay 2
After breakfast, we travel to the thermal spa town of Buxton, home of Buxton Water and located in the centre of the Peak District.
Our day begins with the Buxton Crescent Experience, set within the stunning Grade I listed Crescent building. Consisting of nine themed rooms, we explore more than 10,000 years of history covering Buxton, the Crescent, Buxton Water and the people who have visited to bathe in the thermal mineral water.
Our experience ends with a visit to the Grade II listed Pump Room to see the sunken oval pool where the 5,000-year-old mineral water still rises from the ground
Enjoy some free time in Buxton this afternoon, a perfect opportunity to purchase some lunch and explore at your own leisure.
Day 3
Today we travel to Chatsworth House in the heart of the Peak District where the countdown to Christmas has begun!
Discover 24 rooms filled with Christmas wonder and the sights, sounds and scents of the season. Travel under archways adorned with candy canes, handmade Christmas stockings and mistletoe. Explore a winter wonderland and glittering Christmas tree brooch forest.
The celebrations continue in the garden with an interactive light and sound trail past the Cascade, and through the Rock Garden and Maze, leading to a spectacular animated light show that transforms the house into a giant advent calendar. Wrap up warm and enjoy festive food and drink as you explore.
Please note there will be no Christmas Market.
Day 4
This morning we make a visit to Derby Garden Centre, a great opportunity to pick up spme Christmas gifts!
We then make our way into Derby City centre where the afternoon is yours to explore.
Day 5
We depart the hotel after breakfast, making comfort stops and a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arriving back in East Sussex in the afternoon.
