Lunch will be available in the Pavilion Restaurant, which is the larger restaurant next to the lake. Please allow 10 – 15 minutes to walk from the Castle to the restaurant.

 

From the Castle forecourt there are three small steps to gain access onto the ground floor. On the ground floor of the Castle there are five rooms to view. To gain access onto the first floor there is a stone spiral staircase which is quite steep but there is a hand rail to hold. Onto the second floor there are wooden steps to climb these are quite wide and not that many of them. To exit the Castle there is also a stone spiral staircase. Hever Castle only allow manual wheelchairs on the ground floor of the Castle and not on the upper floors. If any members of your group require a wheelchair, Hever Castle hire manual ones in the shop, they may ask for a £25.00 deposit which is refunded back to you when the chair is handed back in. We recommend pre booking wheelchairs due to limited availability. We regret that it is not possible for visitors to use motorised wheelchairs or mobility scooters inside the Courtyard or Castle due to the historic nature of the building and its contents.
