Wensum Valley Hotel, Golf & Country Club is located in the village of Taverham. There is no lift but ground floor rooms are available. The Valley Restaurant makes use of local produce wherever possible and comes with lovely views over the two 18-hole golf courses, while the bar stocks Norfolk cider and ale. There is also a snooker room with two snooker tables, a pool table and a dart board, as well as a patio area with views across the Wensum Valley. Guests enjoy complimentary use of the leisure facilities, including a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa bath and gym.

Day 1

We make our way to Norfolk, with comfort stops en-route, including a lunch stop. Arriving at Wensum Valley Hotel Golf & Country Club, Taverham this afternoon.

Day 2

Our day starts with a visit to the Bure Valley Railway and a 45 minute journey by steam train through the picturesque Norfolk countryside to Wroxham. On arrival, we disembark and take a leisurely 15 minute stroll to Wroxham Bridge, where we enjoy time for lunch. In the afternoon, we embark on the next stage of our journey, a 90 minute circular cruise of the Norfolk Broads.
We then return to our hotel mid-afternoon.

Day 3

Today we travel to Dereham to board the Norfolk Heritage Railway to Thuxton for a return journey.

Sit back as the usually steam hauled train takes us through the Norfolk countryside.

Day 4

This morning we have free time to enjoy the classic Norfolk seaside town of Great Yarmouth, known for its long sandy beach. Aside from the Pleasure Beach, we can choose from the Time and Tide Museum, which details local history or the Nelson Museum, which as the name suggests, focuses on Admiral Lord Nelson. There is also Merrivale Model Village if the weather is on our side.

For lunch we travel to Norwich. Having sated our hunger there is plenty to explore in this medieval city, from the cathedral with its ornate cloisters and the city's imposing gates, which lead to a once Saxon marketplace, to the Museum of Norwich and shopping opportunities

Day 5

We depart the Hotel after breakfast, making comfort stops en-route, including a lunch stop. Arriving back in East Sussex this afternoon.
