This morning we have a guided factory tour at Royal Crown Derby, followed by freeflow entry into the Exhibition & Museum. Royal Crown Derby is world renowned for its luxury fine bone china products, manufactured solely in England. The distinct traditional skills have led to an international reputation for quality and creativity. The Royal Crown Derby Visitor Centre has been created to provide an insight into the traditions, the history, and the skills that go into making Royal Crown Derby so unique.
We take you to the Bluebell Dairy in the afternoon, for their Ice-Cream Experience. Be welcomed to a family-run farm famed for its wonderful award-winning ice-cream. Enjoy tasting treats of a range of flavours, sorbets and ice-creams, before the highlight immersive experience where using a base of their award-winning ‘simply bluebells’ you create your own bespoke ice cream. Ice-cream technicians will trial your creation, with the winning flavour being awarded the ‘Ice Cream Champion’ certificate.
Today we enjoy a free-flow visit to Chatsworth House, renowned for the quality of its art, landscape and hospitality, and it has evolved through the centuries to reflect the tastes, passions and interests of succeeding generations. Chatsworth contains works of art that span 4,000 years, from ancient Roman and Egyptian sculpture, and masterpieces by Rembrandt, Reynolds and Veronese, to work by outstanding modern artists, including Lucian Freud, Edmund de Waal and David Nash.FB, EM
Today we enjoy Peak District Coach Guided Tour. The tour will take in Chatsworth Park, past the stunning home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and on to the quaint village of Baslow. The tour will move on to Buxton the Georgian Spa town, where passengers can try the famous mineral water, see the new crescent building being developed and make a stop for lunch (payable directly by guests).
In the afternoon, a trip can be taken across the limestone plateau with great views to Monsal Head, then Eyam village, famous for its history with the bubonic plague, and on to Bakewell (puddings not tarts!) for a leisurely stop.
